Ultrasonic inspection shows that the defects are not intuitive, the detection technology is difficult, it is easy to be affected by subjective and objective factors, and the test results are not easy to save, and the ultrasonic inspection working surface is smooth, requiring inspectors to have rich experience to identify the thickness. The second kind of magnetic flux leakage detection method is based on the basic principle of high permeability ferromagnetic materials. The permeability of corrosion defects of stainless steel flat welded flange is far less than that of the flange, and the flange is magnetized under the additional magnetic field. When the flange has no defects, the magnetic field line passes through the steel pipe, and the magnetic field line is evenly distributed

When there is a defect in the flange, the magnetic force line will bend, and part of the magnetic force line will leak out from the surface of the steel pipe. By detecting the magnetic leakage on the surface of the magnetized large diameter flange, the presence of defects can be determined.
